Format Ideas:

• This is a great time of year to celebrate distance swimming. Organize an intrasquad meet and give your swimmers a chance to get their first official USA Swimming time in the mile (or 500, 400 IM, etc).

• For the younger and/or less experienced swimmers- choose specific events. Use the certificate in the Block Party Marketing Collateral Section to celebrate your athletes.

USA Swimming Leaderboard:

• Ages: 6 and under, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 and over.

• Events: 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free and the 25’s of stroke are the eligible events for the Splash Bash Leaderboard.

How to win a free Block Party Sanction:

• Sanction and run a New Year’s Splash Bash Holiday Mini Meet during the time period of December 1, 2024 - January 15, 2025.

• Be sure to name your mini meet: Team Code and Splash Bash (ex: KATY Splash Bash).

• Three teams will win a free Block Party Sanction!

Be Creative!

• You can run this competition during a practice! Be sure you legally time (3 watches/lane at a minimum) and officiate per the Block Party officiating requirements. (remember- you may use either USA Swimming Certified Officials in the MR, AO, ST roles- OR- USA Swimming Coaches may cover those roles.)

• HAVE FUN with it- music, decorations, dry land challenges between events…order themed heat winner prizes.

• Run the event as a fundraiser for your team!
